Description
An original, fascinating, typed account of “C.F.S.” as his recollections of being a soldier with 81 Lines of Communications Company Provost Unit as part of the British Expeditionary Force in France in May to June1940. With this emotive account, dated 25th of October 19185 comes and Message Form dated Dunkerque 31st May 1940 handing over two German Prisoners to be Despatched to the U.K. for interrogation. An original Handwritten note dated 1st of June 1940 handing over two German Prisoners, an original annotated War Office, 1938 dated Map of the area Lille-Ghent and Dunkirk. An original photograph of C.F.S. in uniform on a motorbike. And a crucifix, once mounted on Perspex, with the typed note “ Recovered from the wall of a billet after a direct hit by a Stuka Dive Bomber in the village of La Bassee, May 1940 en route to Dunkirk C.F.S.”.
