Description
A Printed Collection of Field-Marshall Montgomery’s Personal Messages to 21 Army Group, Covering the Period 6th of June 1944 to the 8th of May 1945. Printed and bound by Printing and Stationery Services 21 Army Group. Together with the accompanying 21 Army Group Formation Signs Poster, and a Roneo copy of a Secret Message Form From EXFOR Main dated 1050 on the 4th of May 1945 to First Canadian Army and Second British Army.
“All offensive ops will cease from receipt this signal. Orders will be given to all tps to cease fire at 0800 hrs tomorrow Saturday 5th of May. Full terms of surrender arranged today for 21 ARMY GP front follow. Emphasise these provisions apply solely to 21 ARMY GP fronts and for the moment are exclu(ding). Dunkirk.
