A 25th Battalion Royal Fusiliers “Frontiersman” 1915 Christmas Card made from Brown Fabric and in Ink to Rear (RF) either side of the Royal Fusiliers Drawn Cap badge and to the Obverse written in blue ink (A Merry Christmas From Alf With Love East Africa 1915), and inside ( Torn From my Coat I send to thee This war worn piece of Old Khaki Times are hard but when they mend a better card to thee I will send) Gott Strafe Deutschland) and a drawing of the Kaiser as found (1)
The 25th (Frontiersmen) Battalion, Royal Fusiliers was an infantry Battalion of the British Army's Royal Fusiliers which was active during World War I. It was raised by the Legion of Frontiersmen. It served in the African Theatre of the war from 1915 to 1918, centered mostly in the area around Lake Tanganyika, British East African and German East African territory.
