Description
A Small Silver Cross Shaped Medallion containing a photograph of Lord Baden-Powell, with a hand written note saying “Cape of Good Hope: Mafeking Siege 1899 Original Full Face Miniature Photograph of Lord Rober Baden-Powell in Dress of Army Scout in small Hallmarked Silver Mount. Photograph Taken in England and carried by Baden Powel to Mafeking. During the Siege of March/May 1900 he gave it to a young Officer, Captain Greener to copy for a slightly amended version of the portrait of the famous Prussiate Baden-Powell 3d Provisional. There is a slight Bullet scar on reverse of silver mount. This was found in Greener papers.”
