Coventry, Thomas Sharp uniface die trial of obverse of his halfpenny (1797), Female personification of 
Coventry seated – now with sword and legend, rev. blank, edge plain, 31mm/13.43gm. (DH 308 - this 
piece), good Extremely Fine and darkly patinated with underlying glow. Of the highest rarity – Unique and 
D&H plate coin.

Ex. F S Cokayne Col., his ticket – bought 27 Nov 1930 ex Hamer Col. via Glendining’s, lot 417 (with previous), for £6/5/-. Acquired 
AHB c. 1946.
