Coventry, P Kempson’s Series of Historic Coventry Buildings, Halfpenny 1797, Bablake Hospital, rev. Arms and crest of Coventry, edge plain, 28mm/13.40gm. (DH 282a). Another the same but bronzed, 28mm/13.17gm. (DH 282a). Another but with Handel rev., 28mm/13.30gm. (DH 283). Another but obv. the Barracks, edge COVENTRY TOKEN (faintly), 28mm/13.67gm. (DH 284). Another the same but bronzed, 28mm/13.58gm. (DH 284). Another but with Handel rev., 28mm/13.28gm. (DH 285), all good Extremely Fine with toning and iridescence, DH 282a and 285 with some lustre, DH 284 with almost full original lustre. Two Handel revs. Rare, rest scarce. [6] DH 285 ex F S Cokayne Col., his ticket – bought 17 Dec 1910 for 17/6. Acquired AHB c. 1946.
