Hoxne and Hartsmere, Thomas Tallant (member of the Suffolk Yeomanry Cavalry ?) Halfpenny 1795, Dismounted dragoon with horse, rev. Yeomanry badge, edge PAYABLE BY THOMAS TALLANT HOXNE X, 30mm/11.06gm. (DH 33). Another the same but edge GOD SAVE THE KING AND CONSTITUTION, 30mm/11.12gm. (DH 33a). Another the same but edge PAYABLE IN DUBLIN OR LONDON, 29.5mm/9.25gm. (DH 33b). Another the same but edge diagonally milled, 29mm/10.43gm. (DH 33c), All good Extremely Fine, all with some lustre particularly DH 33a and especially DH 33b, this last piece with extremely rare edge ‘RRR’. [4]
DH 33 and 33a ex ‘an old Surrey Col.’ via Mark Rasmussen Sep. 2016; DH 33b and 33c both ex F S Cokayne Col., his tickets, both ex Richard Dalton Col. and both bought 14 Dec 1910 for 5/- each. Acquired AHB c. 1946
