Both Denton pieces ex F S Cokayne Col., his tickets, First bought 5 Nov 1903 for 3/-. Acquired AHB c. 1946. Haverhill piece ex Spink, (their ticket) c. 2008 and probably ex F S Cokayne. Denton is actually just over the county border in Norfolk, about 5 miles west of Bungay and to all intents this is the Suffolk token of Samuel Prentice of Bungay. This is perhaps explained by the fact that Noah Todd was married to Prentice’s sister and had his own token by simply putting his name on the edge of his brother‑in‑law’s Bungay halfpenny
