Liverpool, Thomas Clarke Halfpenny 1792, Ship left in full sale, rev. Crest and arms of Liverpool – Liver bird, edge PAYABLE AT THE WAREHOUSE THOMAS CLARKE .XX., 29mm/12.20gm. (DH 98). Another similar, edge CURRENT EVERYWHERE~~~~, 28.5mm/10.52gm. (DH 102). Another but minor differences, edge PAYABLE AT BIRMINGHAM LONDON OR BRISTOL, 28mm/9.58gm, (DH 104). Another the same but larger flan and dif. edge PAYABLE IN LANCASTER LONDON OR BRISTOL, 30mm/12.09gm. (DH 104b), all good Extremely Fine with some lustre except for DH 104 which is only almost Extremely Fine and toned. [4]
DH 98 and 104b ex F S Cokayne Col., his tickets – both acquired 15 Feb 1908 for 2/- and 1/-. Acquired AHB c. 1946.; DH 102 ex A H Baldwin 1920s. ticket in AHB’s hand for 3/-.
