Newent, John Morse, (Nurseryman) Halfpenny 1796, Morse (?) arms at base of an apple tree, rev. Spiral legend with date in middle, edge PAYABLE IN NEWENT, rest engrailed, 29mm/12.19gm. (DH 64). Another but in the legend, THOUSANDS no longer has an S at the end, 29mm/10.40gm. (DH 65), both good Extremely Fine and toned with remnants of original lustre, second scarce. [2]
