Arthur Frederick Holman –
1914 Star Trio awarded to Private Arthur Frederick Holman, 1/16th London Regiment (Queen’s Westminster Rifles) and Royal Flying Corps who was Wounded in 1915 - reported as multiple shrapnel wounds, and who transferred to RFC as a motor cyclist comprising, 1914 Star (1728 Pte A.F. Holman. 1/16 Lond: R.), 1914-1920 British War and Victory Medals, (39583 Pte A. F. Holman. R.A.F.).
Tony Angelo Holman – Son of Arthur Frederick Holman
The Medal of Pilot Officer Tony Angelo Holman, Flight Engineer 61 Squadron whose Lancaster JA873 was shot down by Feldwebel Ernst Schafer of 2./JG Herrmann Nera Luneburg, Germany on the night of the 3rd of August 1943 comprising, 1939-45 Star, Aircrew Europe Star, 1939-45 War Medal, all unnamed as issued, in postal box of issue addressed to Mr A.F. Holman30 Wolsey Road Northwood.

The North West Europe Campaign Group of four awarded to Ronald George Nannucci comprising 1939-45 Star, France & Germany Star, 1939-45 Defence Medal, 1939-45 War Medal, all unnamed as issued with Army Council Bestowal slip.

Private Arthur Frederick Holman landed in France with the 1/16th London Regiment (Queen’s Westminster Rifles) on the 1st of November 1914, being awarded a 1914 Star without clasp. His name appears in the casualty List of October 1915, he was wounded on the 2nd of October by multiple Shrapnel Wounds, he transferred to the Royal Flying Corps on the 24th of July 1916 as a Motor Cyclist.
Pilot Officer Tony Angelo Holman a Flight Engineer with 61 Squadron operating Lancaster IIIs from Syerston was flying operationally on the night of the 2/3rd August 1943 when Lancaster JA873 was shot down by Feldwebel Ernst Schafer of 2./JG Herrmann Nera Luneburg, Germany at 02.10Hrs on the night of the 3rd of August, the aircraft crashed near Luneburg, Niedersachsen, Germany all of the crew of 8 were killed and buried on the 5th of August , the crew of JA873 now rest in Becklingen War Cemetery Pilot Officer Holman in Plot 11, Row D, Grave 10, he was the sone of Arthur Frederick Holman of Moor Park, Northwood , Middlesex.
