The Queen’s South Africa Medal awarded to Private E. O’Brien 2nd Battalion King’s Own (Royal Lancaster Regiment) comprising Queen’s South Africa Medal, 2nd type, ghost dates, 4 clasps, Tugela Heights, Relief of Ladysmith, Transvaal, South Africa 1901, (613 Pte E. O’Brien, R: Lanc: Regt), impressed naming, heavily toned very fine. (1)
Sold with Transcript of Embarkation List from the British Library showing that Private O’Brien was born in 1865, enlisted on the 28th of March 1884 and sailed on the Jumna for India with the 2nd Battalion King’s Own on the 11th of March 1885 also copied Edal Rolls show entitlement to the four clasps and that he was not entitled to the King’s South Africa Medal
