The Territorial Force Efficiency Medal awarded to Private and Doctor, Eric Alfred Wright 14th (County of London) Battalion, London Regiment (London Scottish) who was Commissioned into The Royal Army Medical Corp in November 1914 and who Died in Egypt on the 21st of June 1915 comprising Territorial Efficiency Medal, EViiR, (278 Pte. E. A. Wright.14/(C. Of L.) B.. Lon: Regt), lightly toned very fine (1)

Eric Alfred Wright attested for the 14th Battalion County of London (London Scottish) on the 4th of April 1908, stating that he had been born in Romford and was a 29 year old Medical Practitioner, he stated he had previously served in the 7th Battalion Middlesex Regiment.
He landed in France as a Lance Serjeant on the 15th of September 1914 with the London Scottish. He was Commissioned into the Royal Army Medical Corps on the 30th of November 1914. He Died in Egypt on the 21st of June 1915 and is buried in Alexandra (Chatby) Military and War Memorial Cemetery in Plot Q grave 476. He was the son of Alfred Wright of Romford Essex and the husband of Lillian Mary Wright.
He is entitled to a 1914 Star with August November Clasp and a British War and Victory Medal which were claimed by Lillian in August 1919.
