Description
Bronze Age gold ‘hair-ring’ or ‘lock-ring’ in the form of a hollow, penannular, banded disc. Heavily contorted and broken, with an additional piece. Needham (1995) suggests this may represent part of the scrapping process, with the object being prepared for melting and re-use. For similar objects, see Eogan, G (1969) and Taylor, J. J. (1980). Very Rare.
