Victoria 1837-1901, The Great Exhibition Medal, 1851, Bronze Juror’s Medal (64mm) by W. Wyon / G. G. Adams. Conjoined busts of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert left, with two dolphins below and trident in right field. Rev. Industry seated, holding rope, being crowned by Fame and attended by Commerce, holding caduceus; lion to left, prow of boat to right; in exergue, several symbols of commerce and industry. PULCHER ET ILLE LABOR PALMA DECORARE LABOREM (It is a pleasant duty to honour work) (BHM 2464; Eimer 1457). In NGC holder graded MS 62 (NGC 3958090-002), Extremely Fine, good bronze toning. Reference incorrectly stated on slab.
