Portugal, Philip II (1598‑1621), gold 4 Cruzados, PHILIPVS DG REX PORTVGALIA ET A, crowned coat of arms fl anked by L – IIII. Rev. IN HOC SIGNO VIN CES, cross, 12.13g (Gom. 26.01; Fr. 53). Very Fine, slightly wavy flan and some marks to the surfaces. Flan crack to 3 o’clock. Extremely rare as a denomination, and even more so as a subtype with L and B letters on opposite sides of the obverse arms.
