Charles I (1625‑1649), Shilling, sixth crowned Briot’s bust type, Tower mint (under Charles I), 1639‑1640. Double arched crowned bust left, wearing stellate lace collar, XII behind head, reads CAROLVS D G MAG BRI FRA ET HI REX,. Rev, square-topped shield of arms over cross moline, reads CHRISTO AVSPICE REGNO, 6.11g. (S. 2799, N. 2231). Near Very Fine for issue.
