Follow Captain Marvel and an eccentric clown as they search for an escape gorilla. Captain Marvel Adventures #20. Cover by C. C. Beck. English and Australia reprint of Captain Marvel #71 (1947). The story follows Captain Marvel has he investigates someone stealing his broadcasting scripts while he sleeps. Captain Marvel #2 (M. F. Enterprises, 1966). Cover by Carl Burgos and Leon Francho. This issue features three stories, with Captain Marvel travelling through time and in another battling Dr. Fate (not the DC villain).
Grade: Captain Marvel #12. 5.5, VF-. Extensive spine damage that has removed most colour, spot of discolouration to the red of Marvel's costume, blue pen mark on back cover and mild staining. Tanned pages. Lovely comic aside from the detached cover. #20: 5.5, VF+. Slight staining and discolouration to cover, folds to bottom right corner that break colour, staple rust present on cover and centrefold, tear to top and bottom of spine, light discolouration to back cover, damage to top left corner of back cover, and tanned pages. #2: 3.0, G/VG. Damage to spine with large rip down half the spine and art lifting, readers lines that break colour, stamp and pen on cover, veins present, an lines that break colour, tanning to interior and tanned pages.
