Stories and art by Carl Barks, Floyd Gottfredson, Dick Moores, Merrill De Maris, Bob Karp, Carl Buettner, George Waiss, Veve Risto, Roger Armstrong, Manuel Gonzales, Sylvia Holland, Bill Wright, and Al Taliaferro. Sometimes listed as Vol. 4 #10. The long-running vehicle for Disney character comics featured work by Carl Barks, Floyd Gottfredson, and Pogo's Walt Kelly. In a classic Floyd Gottfredson story from the Mickey Mouse comic strip, Mickey becomes the pilot of the experimental plane and finds himself over Nazi-held France. In a story by Barks, Donald competes with his nephews for news photos to sell to the local newspaper. In another story, Donald gets a mail-order penguin. Cover by Walt Kelly doubles as a PSA and features Donald Duck dressed as Uncle Sam, holding a WWII-era War Bond. 48 pages, Full Colour. Cover price $0.10.
