Official. 1945 (9 Oct) large native envelope, apparently made from a 'turned' parcel wrapping, used from Bhesan to Junagadh, franked on reverse by 1929 2a and 4a, tied by despatch CDS, with arrival CDS alongside. On face, very fine tombstone S.P.O. / NOT PAID due mark completed with manuscript number '2774', over which has been affixed a printed black/buff Gujrati 'Not Paid Register Form' (completed in manuscript) referencing the same number and a 12a charge. Inside the cover a further 4a (SG O6, left marginal), tied by Vanthali cds (date not clear) survives from a previous franking. Extensive creasing as to be expected, but a fascinating and rare usage.
