1877-86 4a in carmine on white vertically-laid paper (lines close together), imperforate sheet of ten comprising two rows of five printed tête-bêche, very fresh unused (marginal hinge thin at one corner does not detract). A very rare and spectacular item, probably from a late printing (c.1912), which cannot adequately be classified by the current Part I listing. SG 17 var; Scott 16a var
