1885 (May) native cover from Jind to Patiala (via Umballa), franked by 1882-85 ½a buff on wove imperf, in combination with India 1873 ½a blue, tied respectively by heart-shaped obliterator and (together) by L in square of bars, with Umballa (MY 9) and Patiala (MY 10) backstamps. Cover faults (creases and stains), still good condition, and a very rare and interesting usage. BPA Certificate (2008). SG J18; Scott 14
