1890 (18 Dec) combination usage of 1883-94 1a dull green on India QV ½a green P/S envelope, uprated by India 1882-90 4a olive-green (to pay UPU rate), from Srinagar to Woolwich, re-addressed on arrival to Newcastle on Tyne. Both stamps tied by "L" in circle of bars, and subsequently in transit by very fine Woolwich/264 duplex (JA 13 91), the indicium with KASHMIR despatch CDS. On reverse, purple sender's oval datestamp, and Bombay, Woolwich and Newcastle-on-Tyne CDSs. A little roughly opened, still a very fine and scarce overseas usage, with detailed BPA cert (2007).
