1896 Rev. Simons sheet with 28 adhesives described in red ink, a mixture of forgeries and reprints, with genuine examples of 1883-94 values  
  
Father Simons bought the remainder stock in 1896, and originally assumed that all were genuine - this page comes with his written guarantee; '...absolutely genuine, and no reprints.'  Controversy broke out in 1898, and by 1900 even he had accepted that the stock was stuffed with forgeries and reprints.
