1942 (3 July) brown OHMS envelope (255x115mm) to Lushai Hills, Aijal, bearing 1a. purple-brown vertical pair, neatly tied by double-ring FALAM d.s. and showing arrival datestamp (8.6) on reverse. Highly unusual as almost all covers sent on this service were overprinted ‘OHMS’, a 1983 census in ‘Burma Peacock’ journal regarded this as the sole cover sent bearing ordinary postage stamps, the runner service intended purely for official mail.&nbsp;
