1942 (mid) 3a "Pagoda" essays, prepared by the Toppan Printing Co. in Tokyo and printed by offset lithography, left marginal imperforate singles from the single sheets discovered by 1986, respectively in carmine on white paper and in blue, purple and black on buff paper. &nbsp;Minor storage blemishes mentioned for accuracy (as is normal for these proofs), but a rare and desirable set of the four known colours. A fascinating set. JSCA U1-4.&nbsp;
