1898 (26 NOV) printed missionary cover (with 'R.C.M. Assaba' at lower left) from Burutu to France, franked by GB 2½d purple/blue, tied by very fine type 4 'BURUTU' boxed ds (seriffed caps) in violet, with 'PAID/LIVERPOOL/BR. PACKET' entry cds (17 DE 98) in brown at lower left, and small part arrival cds at right. Trivial cover blemishes but a striking cover to an unusual destination.
