1855 1d Red-brown Pl.193. Very fine entire sent from Glasgow to Markinch bearing a 1d Red-brown Pl.193. (SG 17) lettered NC, neatly tied by a crisp Glasgow cds "Code *" for AP.25.1855. Backstamped by an Edinburgh transit cds for AP.26.1855, and a green, boxed Markinch arrival datestamp for the same day. A couple light filling folds well clear of adhesive not detracting from this scarce and attractive cover. Ex. "Claymore".
