1904 Wattses of Manchester underprints. Very fine group of seven King Edward VII definitives each with 'Wattses" underprints in black, blue and green inks (Type 2, 18mm) reading upwards. Consisting of a ½d Blue-green (PP236), ½d Yellow-green (PP237), 1d red single and horizontal pair (PP238), 3d Purple/yellow (x3 PP240). All heavily used, scarce group. Cat £1,800. (7).
