1864-79 1d Rose-red ‘Penny Plate’ issue. A spectacular group of twelve 1d Rose-reds (SG43) all cancelled by scarce or unusual cancellations including handstruck ‘2’, inspector marks, mail bag seals, railway cancellations and crowned ‘R’ redirection handstamps. Minor faults to some but overall a wonderful group with magnificent strikes. SG43, Spec. G1(1).
