1856 1d Red-Brown Pl.22 & 23. (Alphabet III, Die II, Wmk Small Crown, Perf 14). Three used examples two of which are from plate 22 (EF & SC) and one example from plate 23 (EK, 1979 RPS Cert). A presentable small group from this difficult issue which arose when a few remaining reams of paper with small crown watermark were used in the first few months of the printings from the first plates with Alphabet III.
