1884 1s Green ‘Unified’ issue. Striking book piece, bearing a cut down die proof on glazed card mounted on buff card (25x44mm) endorsed ‘Dec 13/ 1884/ 18 Leads’. These were the dies used for the colour trials of the 1884 Committee without corner letters as mentioned on page 253 of SG QV volume 1, 16th edition. Fine and scarce. Ex De La Rue Archives. SG 196.
