1869 Overseas Mail. Cover from Manchester to Messina, Italy prepaid by a perforated imprimatur of the 1s Green Pl.6. (Wmk Spray, SG117) tied by a Manchester ‘498’ duplex for AP.17.1869. The imprimatur sheet was registered on 20th February 1869 and the stamp was not issued until March 1872. Therefore this stamp must come from one of the five extra registration sheets. Some minor toning to periphery. SG117. 1991 BPA Cert as a perforated imprimatur sheet. Very rare.
