1857 Registered mail. Very fine envelope sent from High Wycombe to Eyam, Derbyshire bearing a 1d Rose (C9A, Savoy Street printing) and a 6d lilac on azure paper (SG 68a) both cancelled by High Wycombe "364" numerals with a Registered GPO datestamp for AP.9.1857. Backstamped by a High Wycombe cds for AP.9.1857, and Bakewell cds' for the following day. A presentable example of this difficult issue on cover. SG68a. Cat £950 as a single off cover.
