1885 4a green block of four with the lower pair normal, and the upper pair overprinted in red and black.  Part o.g. with hinge remainders.  A striking multiple, with RPS Certificate (1950) stating that it is from an unissued trial sheet.  SG 9, a, £850+ 
 
XXXItalics please - This is indeed probably from a trial sheet, although such questions of status are now impossible to resolve.  Trials may have been included in the stock sent to the state.  Certainly genuine (although not known in used condition) and a rarity in this se-tenant formXXX
