<p>1940 (18th Dec) cover to Gamdi Mada, bearing 1939-46 1a deep blue Perf 12 (all round) and 4a brown Perf 12 (straight edge at foot), neatly tied by individual strikes from state cds in violet for 18 Dec 1940, with perforated black on white registration label on front. Couple of tears, still nice quality cover, with fine cancels leaving clear ‘Raja’ portraits. Believed to be the earliest known usage of the 4a value. SG 11,15&nbsp;</p>
