1941 (29th Nov) Kankekar & Sons. printed sample sheet (222x288mm) bearing samples of Postage & Fiscal stamps from assorted Princely States, with an example of Dungarpur 1939-46 1a3p in unissued vermilion, (the issued colour being bright mauve), with straight edges at top and right, all bearing serifed ‘CANCELLED’ opt in either blue or magenta, some filing crease to sheet and punch holes. Most attractive and rare archival piece, demonstrating that the 1a3p design was prepared well in advance of the issue date (1944) in anticipation of a rate increase [Kankekar & Sons, appear to be acting as agents for L.V.
