1847 Postal Notice from the G.P.O. in Dublin dated September 1847 - relating to the issue of the new 1/- stamps bearing a horizontal pair of SG55, the right hand stamp just clipped at foot, otherwise large margins, handstamp type 1 in black (the black impression at left also showing areas of red ink) with a vertical fold crossing the first adhesive. the notice is on a printed O. H. M.S. entire with the portion intended for acknowledgment of receipt still attached. Rare.
