1904-1928 mint and used collection well written up on pages with noted perf types, study of settings, blocks and other multiples, and the listed perf types and varieties etc… including 1904 set to 2a deep green, with noted compound perfs and perf 12½ on ½a blue, 1a brown-red perf 12½ unused no gum, block of six (cat £1650, possibly of proof status), 1905-09 watermark Jas Wrigley & Son set to 1r with duplication, ¼a olive-yellow mint block of four with double perforation variety affecting lower horizontal pair (SG 9var), 1r yellow mint marginal block of four (£168+), 1r orange-yellow (cat £90) and 1r perf and imperf colour trials in sepia-brown, 1911 Typo Jaipur State press issue and 1912-22 Dorling & Co. issues study, with noted cliche types and varieties, with much duplication particularly on the ¼a and ½a, with noted printed doubles 1a rose-red (SG 20a £300), (less 2a value), examples on cover and 1912-22 ¼a pale olive-yellow with imperf horizontal between vertical pair in strip of three used x2, (SG 22b £325+) and mint pair (SG 22b £325), 2a green imperf between horizontal pair (SG 29var unlisted) 1926 Surcharge type 5, with 3a on 1r yellow variety surcharge inverted mint (SG 33a £900) and used (£375) and 1928 watermark Dorling & Co set to 1r orange-vermilion (SG 39 cat £1200, with de-listed 8a used) 2a green compound perf 12 & 11, mixed condition with fine, a lot for the specialist.
