Officials. 1945 printed Official First Day Cover with the set of six, tied by two strikes of the Sadiqgarh Palace CDS of 1 JAN. Handstamped registered label. A little stray ink, and a small tear at the top of the envelope, which is addressed to R.M. Crofton, the Prime Minister. The envelope is accompanied by a handwritten letter from the Amir; “I am sending this letter in a cover (first day) which I am sure you (will) keep as an interesting memento of what you have been….. able to have done for me and my State. You know I am really very grateful indeed - May the New Year be one of happiness and much success to you and yours - may the blessing of Allah be with you all….” SG O1-6
