Christmas Island. 1930 (JY 12) registered and insured front (161 x 100mm) to Bristol, endorsed ‘Registered’ and ‘Insured £4.0.0d.’ and franked at 51c (6c postage + 45c registration/insurance) by 1921-33 1c black (3) and 12c bright blue (4), tied by two strikes of CHRISTMAS ISLAND cds (Proud type D6) with registration label (Christmas Island overprinted on Singapore) at upper left and insured label at lower right, minor toning still a fine and rare commercial usage.
