1941 (17 OC) registered airmail OHMS envelope (334 x 151mm) from Singapore to the British Embassy, Washington, endorsed ‘By Clipper’ with violet ‘CHIEF CENSOR / MALAYA’ handstamp at foot, franked at $61.65 ($1.50 per ½oz postage x 41 + 15c registration) by 1937-41 15c (die II), 50c, $1 and $5 (12), tied by SINGAPORE cds (Proud type D187) with registration and airmail labels at left, backstamped at Honolulu (NOV 1) and Washington (NOV 6), sensibly folded for display and typical cover faults, nevertheless a remarkable wartime franking.
