1871 (MR 15) cover from Singapore to Philadelphia, endorsed “via Brindisi” and franked at 42c by 1867 (Sept) 32c on 2a in combination with 1867-72 2c and 8c (all slightly overlapped), neatly cancelled by Singapore “D14” duplex in blue and blue firm's chop, showing red crayon “1/8”, London “Paid” transit cds (17 AP) and “2 / CENTS” accountacy h/s in red. A highly attractive and rare mixed issue franking of exhibition quality. Ex Wood and Rowell (CRL 27 May 1993, lot 1052).
