1864 (MR 28) entire from Singapore to Calcutta, franked by India 1856-66 1a brown tied by “B-172” octagon and m/s “Stamped”, the reverse with fine to very fine strikes of boxed “SINGAPORE / SHIP LETTER / PAID” (Proud type SL3, in red), “CALCUTTA / SHIP LETTER” and “CAL. G.P.O. / BG 1 ANNA” handstamps, the first showing error in year “1861” for “1864”; minor blemishes still fine and scarce.
