David Summers was born in the Falkland Islands, subsequently living and working in Bermuda, which explains the slightly unusual pairing of South Atlantic and Bermuda in this sale. Falklands is the outstanding section, with some choice stamps and early covers -the covers including Black and Red Franks, bisects and more, with Lot 2050 boasting the only known use of a British stamp accepted as pre-payment of postage from the Falklands.&nbsp;The stamps are generally of excellent quality, having been selected with condition in mind, the ‘Glasgow’ error being a case in point. Queen Elizabeth II issues are very well represented, with other rarities including the unique 5p on 1½d surcharge at right Cylinder block, but there is a good representation of all reigns. Dependencies issues include a South Georgia 1912 Provisional cover, good stamps and postmarks.The other Atlantic islands have less comprehensive coverage, but there are outstanding items, notably from St Helena with the 1863 (1d on) 6d with the surcharge omitted and other choice Victorian classic issues; the ‘Badges’ include a 15/- pair, one with torn flag. Ascension has good coverage with some fine groups on offer, one being the four 1934 values with the ‘teardrop’ variety. The Bermuda section is relatively sparse, but contains numerous items which are not often seen on the market, from the 1865 imperforate 1d (sadly imperfect!) to good Queen Elizabeth errors; even specialist collectors should be able to find something of interest.<a class="ck-btn" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://competent-prize-bbe30fc6a2.media.strapiapp.com/S26010_Summers_Online_3c91acdfca.pdf" download="download">Catalogue</a>
