1916 cover front to London, the 'Imray front', bearing the 'set' to 5/- and the £1, Salisbury CDSs of 18 JAN 16.  Folds, clear of adhesives.  Bears some rare stamps, offered with Gibbs' detailed notes.  He highlights the £1 (perf 14) which has a very deep purple frame (close to SG 254a, perf 15), not known other than on this front.  The 2/6d, 7/6d and £1 all show handpainting.  Ex Gibbs and Montgomery
