Mint example from Plate 1R-EP, late state, in slate-black and rose-lilac, with R3/10 Thornton's Stripes major re-entry (the 'A' variant with three prominent lines right of the King's cap).  Some shorter perfs and a minor gum thin at base, of little consequence given the rarity of this variety, with two mint examples known.  Ex Wilson.  SG 229b, AH 6 Var
