Fine pair of covers, the first a morning envelope sent from London to Elgin bearing two 1d Deep rose-red (SG 40's) tied by London numerals with a Caledonian Railway “CR” handstamp below. The second a pre-printed Midland Railway envelope for the “Secretary's Office Derby” sent from Derby to Coventry bearing a 2d Blue (SG 34) tied by a Derby duplex.
