<p>1847 Temperance printed envelope. Spectacular printed Temperance envelope published by H. Mence of Worcester sent from Worcester to Leominster bearing a three margin 1d Red-brown (IF) tied by a Worcester numeral. backstamped Worcester and Leominster SP.13-14.1847. Recorded in Bodily, Jarvis & Hahn on Pg.212 and believed to be the only recorded used example “the earliest printed envelope”. Sold in Yates 1949 £8 and Robson Lowe sale MY.15.1879 for £550.</p>
