"7.8/10 - too much water." This reviewer obviously wasn't a Mudkip fan! From the very-watery Hoenn region, it's Mudkip ☆!
This card has been authenticated and graded by CGC and awarded a Mint 9. Population 13.
Grading report:
A Mint card has four sharp corners with only minor wear visible. Slight minor flaws on the edges may be visible. The surface must have all original gloss; however, a small number of specks or one minor spot or surface defect is allowed. For TCG cards, cards will have only a few minor manufacturing or handling defects. For sports and non-sports cards, centering must be 60/40 or better for the front of the card, and 90/10 for the back.
About this card:
Known to the community as ‘Gold Star’ the ‘Star’ rares feature a Pokémon in their Shiny form and are adorned with a Golden ☆ in the name. While Shiny Pokémon in the mainline games vary from odds of 1/8,192 to 1/4,096 (excluding methods) the ☆ rares were approximately 1 in every 72 packs (1 in 2 Booster Boxes). Shiny Pokémon are a recurring element of the TCG, showing up in many forms, and under many different named rarities.
